O’Donnell enters his first season of independent baseball after playing for the Single-A Boise in 2008.

He went 6-3 with a 3.97 ERA and notched two saves in 25 games.

The 24-year-old added 36 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched.

The Vineland, New Jersey native was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2008 draft.
